Place all ingredients into a mixer and blend. Leaving a few roughly chopped pieces adds to the texture 🙂 Pour filling over prepared chilled base and smooth out until even. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Break chocolate pieces into squares and melt over a double boiler or in microwave until silky. Pour over prepared filling and move chocolate sauce around until the slice is fully coated. Refrigerate until set.
Melt coconut oil and mix in cocao powder and maple syrup until smooth. Pour over prepared slice and move around until fully coated. Place in fridge till set.
Once the chocolate topping is set your slice is ready to serve. I suggest a serrated knife to calve through the hard chocolate so it doesn’t break into pieces, although this adds to the home made rustic look.
Store in an air tight container in the fridge if you haven’t gobbled them down 😀
